Sometimes, tucked away in a client’s house, we find a little diamond the the rough.
In this case, out fearless leader, Mitzi, found two:
Cherry frames… needlepoint upholstery. Charming? Yes. Chic? Not so much.
So she took some liberties; while showing respect for the original frame, era and attitude.
A little custom paint finish… grey, blue, white, wood stain, elbow grease and talent, turned the cherry into a vintage, rustic, modern chair frame.
Now about that needlepoint. Zut alors.
How about a French homage by way of a flour sack with a green ticking stripe? French enough for you?
Now instead of hiding, these shameless beauties are featured in the client’s house.
Here is what they look like now:
Très chic, non?
We are up to our elbows in beautiful fabrics…

Schumacher prints, or a mohair velvet. Silk dupioni or taffeta.
Maybe linen or burlap is your thing. Would you like that with or without a hint of metallic thread?
Beacon Hill, Vervain, Highland Court, Duralee, Fabricut, RM Coco, Robert Allen… phew.
So what to do, what to do with all these fabrics…
We have a million ideas to share!
Like, take one of our rockstar fabrics and add pillows to your living room sofa.
Or window treatments… we could have our oh-so talented fabricator make window treatments to our exact specifications.
Panels, valances, roman shades… or maybe your bedding could use some freshening? We can do everything from the skirt up, or just add some dazzling pillows to make the old bedding come back to life.
Really… if there is a fabric you love (and believe me, we have lovable fabric), we can find a special place for it in your home. Oh, my, indeed.
